My Style...

• What to expect: I prefer shooting informal portraits rather typical "studio" shots. This style of photographing people is often called “journalistic portraiture”, which implies semi-candid photos of people in casual settings. Ideas of where to shoot are urban areas, parks, interior settings and more. If there's a place that is special to you, that’s great, we’ll make it work.

   

  How it Works:

   

  Most of my sessions occur in the late afternoon and hour or more before sunset. This is the ideal time for lighting; photographers call this the "golden hour". Further, it allows for the potential for a beautiful sunset and silhouette shots.

  We shoot for an hour or so. It can be a very casual stroll around whatever location we choose. We’ll walk here and there, look for nice spots, pose a little, talk a little and have a great time as well as get some excellent shots.If the photo shoot requires we shoot indoors, then almost anytime will work.
