One of the greatest things about shooting in digital at a wedding, or any event, is the sheer quantity of shots one can take. The more shots, the better your odds are for saleable results. Therefore, to that end, one would want to purchase the highest capacity memory cards they can afford. In addition, don't be shy about filling them up when shooting. However, that doesn't mean to go crazy and shoot anything that moves, but close. Furthermore, for better post production editing results, always shoot in the RAW format.
Lastly, don't delete anything on the fly while at the event. What might appear as a flawed shot to you at the moment might make a cool arty, or abstract shot after using a bit of creative cropping or manipulation.
Therefore, avoid the temptation to delete your mistakes prior to up close viewing in the comfort, and quiet, of post production.
