Dry Ice & Pinwheels...

Youth science event sponsored by the I.D.E.A. Museum in lovely, vibrant downtown Mesa, AZ...

This booth (Museum of Science & Sustainability) was all about pinwheels & gas. Frozen carbon dioxide to be precise. The CO2 (dry ice) freezes at 109.3 degrees below zero, Fahrenheit. It's unique feature is that it sublimes and goes from a solid to a gas without turning into a liquid first.

Literally cool stuff. The kids enjoyed it...
