Panasonic's Lumix LX 100
I've been looking for a good point and shoot for vacation travel and family gatherings rather than lugging about my full sized DSLR. Last week, I tested Panasonic's Lumix LX 100. It retails for about $700.00. That doesn't include accessories: spare battery, camera case, etc.
I tested Fuji's X30 earlier. (See post from February 13 for those photos). The Fuji X30 is on sale with B&H and other vendors for $399.00. sans accessories.
The Fuji has a 2/3 inch sensor where the Lumix has a one inch sensor. Both give good results.
Differences: The Lumix has the edge in low-light shooting with the larger sensor. Fuji has a longer zoom 28-112mm vs Lumix's 24-75mm.
View the Lumix shots here and compare for them yourselves with the X30's.
