Are Smart phones smart?

After falling to the siren call of smart phones recently, I began to notice stories in many of our highly regarded trade and photography magazines that tout the virtues of using ones smart phone as the camera of choice. In particular, they cite their use for candids and street shooting. 

The thinking is, besides the increasingly high quality of the cameras in the newer phones,these phones are so ubiquitous that no one seems to pay much attention to you when you are shooting. A built in, but unintended, stealth feature.

With this in mind, I am posting some of my stealthy or not so stealthy shots from my smart phone. using my smart phone. The shots were processed in the app Snapseed for Android.

Of course, selfies are a must when learning your new camera.
