Composition

Edward Weston, 20th Century Photographer (1886 - 1958) http://www.edward-weston.com/index.htm. Told us: "Composition is the strongest way of seeing".

In other words, get rid of all of the random, unnecessary stuff in your photographs. A simple image is the best. It's easy for many of us to look at a scene and want to include EVERYTHING in the photograph; so much so, we lose sight of what we really want to capture."Oooo, look at that pretty tree next to Uncle Frank. Get that in the shot, too", never mind that the tree appears to be growing out of his left ear. When composing your shot, look at the forms and shapes in your view, not the minutia of the subject and background details. Have them (the forms and shapes) make the strongest statement, not the clutter. Less is better. Declutter your photos, and your fans will appreciate the beauty of starkness.
